Introduction:

"5 years ago I fell in love with archery when my summer job sent me for a weekend of instruction to become an archery instructor. Now five years later, I've joined this club, bought my own bow, & am looking forward to regular practice. I love it!"

Archery is a sport that requires practice and discipline, and we meet regularly to fulfill these requirements. If you cannot attend an event at least ONCE every 60 days, do you understand your membership will be discontinued?

"Yes once a month as long as it doesn't coincide with a work or family commitment. Now that I have my own bow & have been to C&B Archery I wouldn't mind going twice a month if time & money allows."

How did you find out about the NYC Archery Meetup Group?

"By searching on Meetups.com."

Tell us about your archery experience. Never shot before? Tell us your expectations.

"I'm a beginner even though I shot 5 years ago. I have to relearn everything because of time & bad instruction. I have my own bow now and look forward to regular practice. I'm a recurve fan!"

A large part of the value in joining our group is socializing and learning from other archers. Can you tell us what you hope to get out of joining our archery club?

"I would like to have a healthy active hobby. I've never done sports and other than swimming I think archery is the one sport I can see myself actively pursuing. Plus I'm a very social person & love meeting new people. "

As a group, we have ambitions for travel and expansion; corporate sponsorship and a shooting space of our own. As a member of the club, what developments would you like to see?
