- "I am a beginner--haven't done this since childhood at summer camp, looking forward to getting back into it, to see if I can shoot and hit the target. I will start with traditional, or long bows, I think, then maybe progress to a monstrous metal bow."
- Archery is a sport that requires practice and discipline, and we meet regularly to fulfill these requirements. If you cannot attend an event at least ONCE every 60 days, do you understand your membership will be discontinued?
- "Yes, and I look forward to practicing with the group at least once every two months."
- How did you find out about the NYC Archery Meetup Group?

- Tell us about your archery experience. Never shot before? Tell us your expectations.
- "Just as a kid, at straw-stuff targets on a grassy field; don't recall ever getting any arrows to stick beyond the outer white ring. I hope to make bulls eyes at this point, and earnestly look forward to learning. I feel confident about this group."
- A large part of the value in joining our group is socializing and learning from other archers. Can you tell us what you hope to get out of joining our archery club?
- "Apart from very nice sociable companions on the range, I hope to benefit from the pointers that our expert organizer and other advanced archers in the group are kind enough to give me as I evolve in this sport."
- As a group, we have ambitions for travel and expansion; corporate sponsorship and a shooting space of our own. As a member of the club, what developments would you like to see?
- "I'd like to travel to other ranges for the change of scenery, etc., or for competitions if I ever reach that level as an archer. A shooting space for the club would be great, especially if we had an outdoor area."

Thanks for the shout !! Soon you'll be getting the other 9 in the water, don't you worry. I'm learning about what exists too, it's SO MUCH! I think you're doing it the right way though, learning about it before going 100% in. I went in overnight and am learning as I go (believe me, I don't even ALMOST know 1/8 th of it yet) and it's overwhelming. Can't wait to keep reading your hysterical and insightful posts!
